The challenge

People search for movers about three weeks before a move, usually 'movers Columbus' or 'moving company near me', and they want three quotes fast. They open the first few results, look for signs of legitimacy (licensing, reviews, real trucks, real people), and fill out whichever quote form does not feel like a trap. The company's site was a one-page template with a stock photo of a truck it did not own.

Most leads came from marketplaces, which meant every prospect was already talking to four other movers and shopping on nothing but the number. The company was winning the job on quality and losing the lead on presentation.

The solution

We built a site that looks like the company actually is: licensed, insured, local, and careful. Real crews, real trucks, a plain explanation of how a move works, and a quote request that takes under a minute on a phone.

Service pages for local, long-distance, apartment, and office moves, plus pages for the suburbs the company serves, give search engines the structure to surface it for every variation of the search. Reviews from Google sit beside every quote button.

What we did

  1. 1

    Legitimacy above the fold

License number, insurance, years in business, and photos of the actual crews, because the first question a mover's customer asks is 'will my stuff arrive'.

  2. 2

A quote form that respects the visitor

From, to, date, home size. Four fields, a clear reply time, and no phone-number harvesting. Completion rates tell the story.

  3. 3

    Rank for the suburbs

Pages for each suburb in the service area, so the company appears for local searches the marketplaces cannot target.

The result

Direct quote requests through the site run at four times the pre-launch rate, and the company has cut its marketplace dependence to a fraction of what it was. It ranks in the top three for mover searches across Columbus, and the median quote form takes 45 seconds to complete.

Cancelled our old web guy after one call with these folks. Wish we'd found them two years ago.
