From empty Saturdays to a booked season: how an Asheville wedding venue filled its calendar

A mountain venue with a view that sells itself was losing couples who never saw it, because its website could not compete with the listing sites that ranked above it.

The challenge

Couples plan a wedding on their phones, at night, together. They search 'mountain wedding venue Asheville', open a dozen tabs, and cut the list by photos, capacity, and how easy it is to book a tour. The venue's site had a slideshow that took eight seconds to load, no capacity information, and a contact form with no indication of when anyone would reply.

The venue relied on wedding directories for most inquiries and paid for the privilege of appearing next to every competitor. Couples who toured usually booked. Very few couples got to the tour.

The solution

We built a site that lets a couple fall in love with the place in thirty seconds and request a tour in thirty more. Photography leads, fast and full-screen on a phone. Capacity, ceremony and reception spaces, and what is included are answered on one clear page.

A tour request sits on every page with date-availability built in. Pages for elopements, micro weddings, and full weekends target the way couples actually search, and venue schema plus a matched Business Profile give the site local structure the directories cannot take away.

What we did

  1. 1

Let the photos do the selling

Real weddings, real light, optimized to load instantly on a phone. Couples decide with their eyes before they read a word.

  2. 2

    Answer capacity and inclusions upfront

Guest counts, spaces, rain plans, and what comes with the venue on one page, so couples can qualify themselves before they ask.

  3. 3

    Tour request with real availability

A short form that shows open dates and confirms a tour time, instead of a black-box contact form.

The result

Tour requests ran at two and a half times the previous season's pace, and the venue booked more than forty weddings for the following season, most of them from couples who found it through search rather than a directory. It now ranks in the top three for mountain wedding venue searches in the Asheville area.

Cancelled our old web guy after one call with these folks. Wish we'd found them two years ago.
